One of the most awaited novelties of this year was the renewal of the Zoom Fly. When the Nike Zoom Fly 5 It caught everyone's attention that Nike finally put ZoomX foam in its training model, which had always been focused on fast paces and that it was even seen as a mixed shoe. A Vaporfly economic.
We all expected great things from these Zoom Fly's, but the reality is that they don't deliver what we wanted them to deliver and Nike has made a model that is hard to fit into any segment.
Typically for all things sneakers, YouTube is the platform that works best today both for creating the content to explain the details and for users to search and find what they are looking for.
This doesn't mean that I don't do written reviews on the web. You already know that I have done them in other occasions (without going any further the Vaporfly review that I have linked above), but this time being a comparison, I leave you directly the link to the video to watch it on YouTubeor directly on the page by clicking on the header or the video below.
In any case and as a guide, here you have direct access to the different parts of the video with the corresponding time codes:

Nike Zoom Fly 5 Review
As you can tell, I didn't like them. Mainly because it is not what the tradition of the Zoom Fly range is, and because ZoomX is not visible at allCan they work for you? Obviously, it all depends on what you are looking for.
If you thought that the new Zoom Fly 5 would become something similar to the Vaporfly but for everyday use even though it has a slightly higher weight, I'm sorry to tell you that it's not what you were looking for. But if you liked the feel of the Zoom Fly 4 (a shoe that already received a lot of criticism for its stiffness), you know what you're going to find in the new model.
I think Nike should clearly define what it wants from its Zoom Fly range and avoid misunderstandings, or not move the new models away from what we traditionally 1TP7We would look for in them.
They also need to be a little more careful with the weight. Yes, it's a training shoe where weight isn't that important, but you can't be going to rolling or pronation shoe weights for a fast training shoe, especially since the competition is offering things that do deliver on all of that. And I find a lot of things in the Zoom Fly 5 where they could easily have shaved a few grams off.
In any case, I hope this review has helped you if you were considering the purchase of these shoes, and remember that you have the comments both here and on YouTube if you want to leave something.
And with that... thanks for reading!
