Garmin has released new beta versions for its latest Forerunner models. At the moment they are already available for the 255 and the 955and will be arriving in the next few days for their AMOLED display brothers the 265 and 965. And it should not be long for the Fenix 7 and EPix either.
Garmin announces that it is a "Release Candidate", basically it is almost a final version so it is more reliable than a beta. However, if with the final versions of pod we have any issues, we are still talking about a beta, so proceed accordingly.
If this weekend you have your main competition of the year (Ironman Vitoria for example), then I wouldn't update. If there is nothing important on the calendar, go ahead. This is true for this version as well as for any other, as long as you are in the beta program.
And how to be in the beta program? Well, you have to enter the Garmin Connect website, in the device settings and select that you want to be part of the beta software program. From that moment the watch will automatically download the latest beta version, or podrás download it from the system settings when there is a new update.
But let's move on to the new features. What do they consist of? Well, they basically incorporate the new features presented with the Fenix 7 Pro and Epix Pro from about a month ago. There are some things that will only be available on the higher end models and others that are common with the 255/265.
I leave you the image and the list below, which I have classified in the order of importance that I have given them.

In the video that you can find in the header I explain what each of these added functions consists of and what it means.
And with that... thanks for reading!
We are already forgetting about these firmware updates for the Fenix 6...
Hi, I can't download the beta on my forerunner 265. I joined the program through the website but when checking for updates it says no updates available. What could be the reason? My current firmware version is 4.19
Garmin has not yet published beta version for the 265/965, so that's why you have not yet seen anything on your watch just yet.
