Español The last two weeks must have been crazy at Garmin. With a total of 5 new products announced (6 if we count the new dual-connect speed/cadence meter), many of us are already looking at where we can buy the latest Garmin Forerunner and Garmin Edge.
Let me tell you... it's not easy. While the only one that seems to have any more distribution is the Garmin Forerunner 245The rest of the models are only in previous reservation or have some kind of exclusivity agreement, so it will be better to treat each case in particular.

Buy Garmin Forerunner 945
It is perhaps the most sought after, yet the least found. It seems that Garmin has an exclusive European agreement and the only seller that has it available is Wiggle.
They are in stock realEven Garmin doesn't have units available on its own site, which announces it for the second quarter of the year.
There is no store in Spain that has announced it or is taking reservations, and in Europe only two or three wholesalers have opened a reservation period to start delivering units during June.
So if you want to buy a Garmin FR945 now, you have to buy it from Wiggle. At least their service is good and they always meet their deadlines. And you don't have to worry about the warranty, because Garmin's is Europe-wide.

I remind you that you have two possibilities. On the one hand, the watch without any sensor (only with the wrist strap) and with a black strap that has a price of 599 ?. The second option is the triathlon pack, in blue and with the sensors HRM-Tri, HRM-Swim included, plus the quick release kit and an additional black strap.

Buy Garmin Forerunner 245
The Garmin Forerunner 245 has "greater" availability. I put it in quotation marks because at least it is possible to see it in some distributors in Europe.
In Spain it seems to be El Corte Inglés They have both Garmin Forerunner 245 and Garmin Forerunner 245 Music in stock, although I've been to four physical locations and none of them had units, so it seems that it hasn't reached all of them.
And when it comes to buying on the Internet, I don't really trust the service of El Corte Inglés, which is not exactly known for its good work. I might deliver it within 24 hours... but if you send it within two weeks, nothing happens either.
So once again Wiggle is the ideal choice for online shopping. They have all the colors in stock and you can have it home in two days guaranteed. Again, with a two-year warranty through Garmin.

The choice of colours varies depending on whether you want the normal variant or with the possibility of playing music. The former costs 299 euros and is in black or maroon. The FR245 Music, priced at 349 euros, can be bought in black (with red accents), white with a black bezel and black with an aquamarine strap.
Remember that the only difference between the two is that FR245 offers the possibility of listening to music through a Bluetooth headset, and that it has WiFi for synchronization.

Buy Garmin Forerunner 45
It is the only one of the new watches that is not yet available and that, although you can book now, you will not receive it until the middle of May. This includes both models: the normal –Garmin Forerunner 45- and the one that's slightly smaller –Garmin Forerunner 45S-.
El Corte Inglés does offer it for booking, but again I'm sticking with Wiggle's delivery service.

And remember, the only difference between the two models is the size of the watch, the FR45S is slightly smaller than the FR45, perfect for narrower wrists.

Buy Garmin Edge 530
We now move on to the Edge cycling units. Of the two new models it is the Garmin Edge 530 the one that is going to hit the hardest since it is the cyclocomputer that offers the most, by far, for the 299 euros that it costs.
There are only two differences from the Garmin Edge 830The Edge 530 does not have a touch screen (which some may even prefer) and even though it has a full map of Europe, it does not allow you to create a route directly from your device and we are forced to create it from your phone or computer and then synchronize it.
At the moment there is no availability anywhere in spite of being announced in many pages. However, we are not allowed to make a reservation for our unit, so it's time again to come back to Wiggle to leave yours reserved. Deliveries will be made in the middle of May.

The difference between the packs is what they include. Personally I think that the MTB pack is not very interesting, but that the Performance pack is a good option if you currently have no sensors. And remember that in the case of the speed and cadence sensors it is the new version, which includes dual Bluetooth/ANT+ connectivity.
Buy Garmin Edge 830
As I was saying earlier on Garmin Edge 530 is going to be "the one to beat", but this one Edge 830 review can be a good option for those who are also looking for navigation options on the computer itself and do not want a unit as big as the Garmin Edge 1030.
Remind yourself that on the Edge 830, thanks to its touch screen, you can create a route directly from the computer screen, and it also has an extensive database of points of interest that can help you if you're in an unfamiliar area.
As with the Edge 530 the delivery dates are exactly the same, so if you book your unit now you should receive it by mid-May. The price is £399, less interesting than the model without a touch screen, but still cheaper than the Edge 1030.

Hi Eduardo, I practice cycling and I have already suffered two accidents with a vehicle behind me.
I have a Garmin radar Varia ,and an Edge 1000 but for me it is not enough, I want to see it with real time images.
My question is if it is possible to put a small gopro or similar camera on the back of the bike that records and I can see in real time on the screen of my iphone the vehicles coming from behind and more or less with an autonomy of 1 hour 30 minutes or two hours.
Is it possible that on the screen of the iphone I see continuously the rear movements of my bike, and if by autonomy it does not arrive recording at least see the image live even if it does not record, but keep the image live for about two hours?
Or Garmin has a new model that performs this function

You could make use of the preview option. You could put an adapter in the saddle and the camera facing backwards. I think the two hours of autonomy you could reach it in the camera and without problems in the mobile except for the fact that you have to put the brightness very high.
The preview option, you mean in the gopro menu or on the iphone?
In the GoPro application of the mobile phone, the function that serves to view the camera frame from a distance.
